Dupé Oluyomi

Dupé OluyomiDupé Oluyomi-Obasi is a Deputy Regional Director and Senior Counsel in the Immigration Law Division of the Ontario Regional Office of the Department of Justice, Canada’s largest immigration law firm. With over 20 years of experience, she has appeared before the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on various immigration, refugee and citizenship matters. She currently manages a team of lawyers and is a member of the Ontario Regional Office management team.

Dupé serves as a regional representative for the Department of Justice on the Federal Court’s Artificial Intelligence Working Group and previously represented the Department on the Federal Court’s Citizenship, Immigration and Refugee Law Bench and Bar Liaison Committee. She has also co-chaired the Ontario Regional Office’s Diversity and Inclusion Working Group and Employment Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee, and currently serves as Management Resource for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Partnership Circle.

She is an adjunct professor at Queen’s University Faculty of Law, where she teaches and co-developed the Enforcement course for the Postgraduate Diploma in Immigration Law. She has also taught and developed immigration and refugee law courses in the Paralegal Diploma programs at Centennial College and Humber College. Dupe is committed to advancing justice and fostering inclusivity within the legal profession.
