Joshua Blum practices immigration and refugee law with Jared Will & Associates in Toronto. He has appeared at all levels of court and is counsel in a number of cases about the scope of Canada's constitutional and international obligations to refugees. He is also active in law reform and advocacy against immigration detention in Canada.
Joshua is a co-chair of the litigation committee of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers and serves on the Legal Affairs Committee of the Canadian Council for Refugees. He studied law at Queen's and recently completed an LLM degree at the University of Toronto focused on migration and human rights law. He is particularly interested in drawing connections between immigration law and the international economic policies that cause forced migration.
