Adrienne Smith
Adrienne Smith is a practicing immigration and refugee lawyer and Principal Lawyer with Smith Immigration Law based in Toronto, Canada. Adrienne has appeared at every level of court including the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Adrienne is the recipient of the Canadian Bar Association Founders' Award recognizing an exceptional lawyer and future leader in immigration law.
Adrienne has a full-service legal practice with expertise in litigation and administrative appeals and LGBTQ issues. Her legal experience is concentrated in matters before the Federal Court and the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Adrienne has been invited as an expert to speak on medical inadmissibility before Canada’s House of Commons Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration, which monitors federal immigration policies. Adrienne co-authored a book on Family Class Sponsorship in 2021 published by Emond Publishing.
Adrienne is a former Instructor with Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of British Columbia’s Continuing Education Program.
