Gerd Damitz is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), Commissioner of Oath, business strategist, and lobbyist with nearly 30 years of experience in the Canadian immigration sector. He holds a BA/MBA in Corporate Planning and Human Resources and brings over a decade of prior experience in strategic planning and senior management, including serving as General Manager of a stock exchange-registered corporation.
Mr. Damitz is a founding and past president of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC), Canada's largest non-profit professional association representing Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants. He also served as a founding director of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), now the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), Canada's federal regulatory body for the profession.
As co-founder of Amirsalam & Damitz Canada Immigration Counsel Inc., Mr. Damitz has helped thousands of individuals and families immigrate, work, and study in Canada, specializing in economic immigration categories and family reunification. He has participated for approximately 25 years in lobby and immigration advisory meetings in Ottawa with senior Canadian government officials and Citizenship and Immigration department executives.
Mr. Damitz has authored numerous immigration articles for publications in Canada and Germany, and has been interviewed by media on immigration policy matters. He has also served as a speaker and panelist at industry conferences, including the Investment Migration Forum.
For his contributions to the immigration profession, Mr. Damitz has received numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Vision, Leadership, Dedication and Commitment to Excellence.
He brings to this course a unique combination of hands-on practitioner expertise, regulatory insight, and industry leadership, grounded in decades of experience at the intersection of immigration policy, business strategy, and professional advocacy.
