Julie Beauchamp is a graduate of the BCL/JD program of the Faculty of Law at McGill University. She was called to the bar in 2017 and worked as an immigration & refugee lawyer for a small boutique firm in Toronto before joining the Immigration and Refugee Board as a board member for the Refugee Protection Division (RPD) in 2019. Julie was one of the original members of the Gender Related Task Force at the RPD, a team with specialized training to adjudicate gender-related refugee claims.
She currently works as an immigration and refugee lawyer in British Columbia. Au fil des ans, Julie a été impliquée dans de nombreux organismes militant pour les droits de l’enfant et le respect des droits de la personne, notamment la Fondation du Dr Julien et Innocence McGill. Julie is passionate about fighting for access to justice for all.
