Anita Boscariol

Anita Boscariol is Associate Counsel at Watson Goepel LLP, a full-service regional law firm based in the downtown Vancouver business district. A former Assistant Deputy Chair of the Immigration Appeal Division, Anita represents clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board and Federal Court.

In addition to her immigration practice, Anita’s law practice focuses on Indigenous Law. For the ten years prior to her return to private practice she was the Director General, Treaties and Aboriginal Government Negotiations West, for the former Department of Indigenous & Northern Affairs.

In addition to being a frequent speaker and presenter at conferences and CLEs, Anita is a term instructor at The Queen's University Faculty of Law and at Ashton College in BC, educating students on Immigration Tribunal Practices.

Anita started her professional career as a high school French teacher before obtaining her law degree from the University of British Columbia. Her return to teaching reflects her love of education and a desire to give back to the community that has provided her with such a fascinating and rewarding career.

Anita is fluent in French, Italian and Spanish, enjoys classical music and opera, and is a fitness enthusiast.
