As a certified RCIC since 2016, Avery Wanjing Liao counsels on various cases and is particularly enthusiastic about IAD Appeals, Express Entry, Provincial Nomination Programs, and Remedies to Overcome Inadmissibility. Avery is one of the first groups of RCIC-IRB licensees.
Prior to joining Queen’s Faculty of Law Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law program, Avery taught immigration law to 200 immigration consultant students at two colleges, CDI College and Ashton College. She has also been actively conducting immigration related workshops, including working with Vancouver local based immigration settlement non-profits.
Avery has been a proud Vancouverite for ten years. She was born and raised in China, left home country for graduate level study after turning 21 years old. Avery holds a Master’s degree in marine biology from Rutgers University, New Jersey. Prior to RCIC immigration practice, for several years she worked in prestigious university science laboratories and top-notch high schools. Avery believes she gained quick recognition as exceptionally detail-oriented and analytical consultant due to her former technical background.
In her spare time, Avery loves to travel. She is half-way through her plans to travel all 13 provinces in Canada and 50 states in the USA.
