Joe Kenney

Joe Kenney, a member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and a registered member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC), has many years of experience in the field of immigration, both as a consultant and a government official.

Mr. Kenney is currently the principal of J. Kenney Consulting Ltd., which has been operating since late 2005 and employs a total of six RCICs. J. Kenney Consulting provides services to a wide variety of clients including employers, skilled workers, business immigrants, family class immigrants, students and foreign workers.

Mr. Kenney previously held the positions of Director of Economic Immigration Programs and Program Manager of the BC Provincial Nominee Program for the Government of British Columbia from 2003 to 2005. Before joining the BC government, Joe worked for over eight years as an immigration consultant with two different firms, traveling extensively overseas giving seminars to international audiences. Mr. Kenney is also a former Immigration Examining Officer with Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Mr. Kenney earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts (Political Science) from McGill University. He is also a graduate of the UBC/Seneca College Immigration Practitioner Certificate Program. Prior to joining the Queen’s faculty, Mr. Kenney was an instructor for the UBC Certificate in Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures.
