Keith MacMillan (he/him) is an immigration and refugee lawyer who has been practicing law for 8 years. He works as a Staff Lawyer at the Hamilton Refugee Law Office of Legal Aid Ontario, where he represents low-income Ontarians living in Southwestern Ontario who are seeking refugee protection, are at risk of removal from Canada, or have precarious immigration status. Keith practices before all divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, as well as at Federal Court, and in proceedings with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Keith is a proud Hamiltonian, and in his free time enjoys biking, playing soccer and gardening.
This is Keith’s third term teaching in the GDipCL program, and he is looking forward to sharing his passion for immigration and refugee law with a new group of students.
