Kelly Goldthorpe
Kelly Goldthorpe is a Senior Associate lawyer at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto. Her practice is exclusively in immigration and citizenship law. Kelly oversees applications for temporary foreign workers, business visitors, international students and permanent residents, and Canadian citizenship. She also has experience with admissibility and enforcement matters, including appeals, detention reviews and Federal Court litigation.
Prior to joining Green and Spiegel, Kelly was a Senior Analyst at Statistics Canada in the Immigration and Ethno-cultural Statistics section. She was involved in the analysis and dissemination of the 2001 and 2006 Census results on Immigration and Ethnicity as well as other large-scale national social surveys.
Kelly frequently contributes to The Lawyer’s Daily on timely immigration issues. She has been part of numerous Canadian Bar Association Working Groups, including consultations on NAFTA renegotiation, Immigration Settlement Services Study, Citizenship and the User Interface Working Group. Kelly is also a contributor to the Employment Section of the Lexis Practice Advisory. Kelly is currently the President of the Board at YWCA Toronto.
In November 2018, Kelly was honoured as a Lexpert Rising Star, an award for young lawyers who are at the top of the legal profession.
