Pia Zambelli has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a LL.M. from McGill University, Faculty of Law. She is a member of the Quebec and New York State bars and served as a member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada from 1993 to 1998. She is currently practicing refugee law in Montreal with an emphasis on appeals and judicial review applications. She is the author of several law journal articles, is a regular speaker at conferences and training sessions sponsored by the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers (CARL), and l’Association québécoise des avocats et avocates en droit de l'immigration (AQAADI), and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Ottawa and University of Manitoba faculty of law.
