Sandra GonzalezSandra runs a law practice with a social justice and human rights lens, focusing on refugee and family law (child protection). Prior to her legal career Sandra did community development and neighbourhood revitalization work for a number of years. This work was done in various low-income/ priority neighbourhoods across Toronto, and in shantytowns in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil while on assignment with UN-Habitat. She holds a law degree from the University of Windsor, a certificate in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford, a Master’s degree in International Development Studies and Planning from the University of Guelph, and a BA in Political Science. Sandra has a keen interest in constitutional litigation and in systemic advocacy. She currently serves on the board of the FCJ Refugee centre.
