SandrineSandrine Ponpon-Kataully is a Bilingual Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. She was born in Mauritius, a beautiful island off the southeast coast of the African continent in the Indian Ocean. In 2005, Sandrine moved to London, U.K to pursue her legal education, she lived in the U.K. from 2005-2016 before immigrating to Brandon, Manitoba in 2016. 

Sandrine began her legal career in the U.K. where she worked as a paralegal and represented clients in diverse matters which included criminal and immigration law. She appeared before several tribunals on immigration matters and worked closely alongside Queen’s Counsels on high profile criminal cases. Sandrine also gained valuable legal experience while volunteering with various legal organizations. 

In 2018, Sandrine joined the Department of Justice where she worked as a bilingual Staff Justice of the Peace and a Bilingual Small Claims Officer. In the same year she obtained her licence to practice as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. Sandrine left the Department of Justice in 2020 to focus on her immigration practice and work towards obtaining her call to the bar in Canada. Sandrine was appointed to the Tribunal Committee of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants in 2020 and sits as a Bilingual Tribunal Committee Member of the Disciplinary Committee.  The Tribunal is an independent body that makes final decisions on disciplinary cases involving Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants and Regulated International Student Immigration Advisers. The Discipline Committee handles complaints involving both professionalism and competence. 

Sandrine has an LL.B. from Anglia Ruskin University. She is a member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants and the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants. Sandrine is experienced in adult education and has more than 10 years of teaching experience, having taught French as a second language in the U.K. Sandrine is trilingual in Mauritian Creole, French and English. 

Sandrine is passionate about immigration law and is actively involved in her home country in educating people about illegal immigration practitioners and offers her services on a pro-bono basis to victims of immigration fraud. In her spare time, Sandrine enjoys spending time with her family, reading and cooking.
