She graduated with a Master of Social Work from York University, and a Refugees and Forced Migration graduate certificate, followed by a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Ottawa.
Vino possesses extensive experience working within low-income immigrant and refugee communities as a mental health counselor, lawyer, and community organizer, bringing a wealth of practical experience to her academic role. Drawing from her foundation in social services, Vino has worked at various community legal clinics and firms, assisting low-income clients with their refugee and immigration matters. Additionally, Vino expanded her insights by working as a Designated Representative at the Immigration and Refugee Board, where she provided critical support to refugee claimants who experienced mental health issues navigate the complexities of the legal system.
Currently, Vino works as an Immigration Lawyer at Schulich School of Business, York University. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in assisting international students with their immigration concerns.
